It was around the year 2008 that my Sister-in-Law phoned me one day for a chat. We hadn't spoken for a while as we both had families that kept us pretty busy. During the call, Penny asked me about how things were going at our church. I began telling her how much we were really enjoying it and then out of the blue, she said that she wanted to ask Jesus into her life!

We had spoken about the Lord before and it seems that she had come to a place where she recognised that she was a sinner and needed a Saviour to forgive her sin. A little taken aback I asked if she wanted to accept Jesus as her Lord and Saviour. Penny, without any hesitation, replied with a firm 'Yes.'

I invited her to pray with me and suggested that if she truly believed she could repeat the prayer with similar words to those I used to lead her and she repeated it. She clearly meant every word.

As she prayed, she repented of her sin and invited the Lord into her life, I actually heard a multitude of angels rejoicing. What a wonderful sound that was. The Bible says that the angels of heaven rejoice over one sinner who repents, and I am living testimony to that scripture, and what a privilege it was for me.

Penny has grown in the Lord greatly and is now, like all the saints who long for His coming, awaiting eagerly the rapture* of the church, which we believe is imminent. The Lord will take His church - all those who are born again of His Spirit, out of this ever-increasingly wicked world. What about you dear friend? Turn to the Lord while he may be found.
