Declared to be the only begotten Son of God - the One sent from God. Born as a man to live a perfect sinless life and to die to pay the penalty for our sin.
(John 3:16)

God was not caught unawares when, in the garden of Eden, Adam chose to take of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
(Genesis 2:16-17)

But it saddened Him that the relationship with man was marred by that act of disobedience. That act caused the complete separation from God that has been handed down to every generation since. Sin separates us from God because God cannot allow sin into His presence.
(Genesis 3:23-24)

But God knew before it even occurred that man would choose this separation through his own disobedience.
And so God, in His great love for us, already had His plan to redeem mankind back to Himself.
(Ephesians 1:4)

That plan was for the only One that was ever without sin to pay the full price for all of man's sin - Himself.
And so God left His throne in heaven and came to earth in the form of man, with the specific purpose of redeeming us back to Himself.
(Hebrews 9:26)

God's love for each one of us is much greater than we could ever imagine.
(Romans 5:8)

And He is patient towards us because He wants ALL to come back to His presence and to have that assurance in our hearts that when we die we will be with Him in heaven. And it is possible!
(2 Peter 3:9)
