Signed, Sealed and Delivered

Going back many, many, years Malc and I produced our church magazine for young and old alike and distributed it to homes around the church location. We produced 8 or 9 issues about six months apart. And we did a lot of walking, we and others in the church posted it through around 4,000 letterboxes each edition.
One time I sensed the Lord leading me to send a couple of the children’s magazine (we used to produce a small children’s edition and put it inside the main magazine) to a particular member of the Royal Household for them to read to their children. So, I did.
I posted them off and in due course, I received a lovely letter, from one of the Ladies-in-waiting thanking me for sending the magazines which, they said, would certainly be read to the children. It is usually a Lady-in-waiting who would send replies to letters from the general public, and I was delighted to have received such a wonderful letter.
Although we believe our King (and formerly our wonderful Queen) and the royal family, do a wonderful job for our country, every one of us - even the royal family, will one day, individually, have to give an account of what we did with Jesus - who is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We will all be called to give an account to God of how we responded to Jesus, the Saviour - did we accept Him or did we reject Him?
Jesus bore the sin of the whole world in Himself when, He died upon the cross, to pay the price for our sin, our guilt and our shame, no matter whether a King, a Queen, a Prince or Princess, or Government official or anyone in a place of importance – all will stand before God and give account. The Bible says “Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.” (does not show favouritism)
(Acts 10:34)
There are no favourites in God’s Kingdom. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) and all sin has to be dealt with because God is a Holy God.
So, when there is a response from a King or Queen or Governor or a Lady-in-waiting we give thanks to the Lord for all that He does in our lives and theirs every- day of the week. We give thanks with a grateful heart.
I do believe the promise that was given in that letter, and that those children will have had the content of our little magazine read to them.
And we are also confident that others would have also been blessed by our magazines and we give thanks for the wonderful opportunity and prompting to send that particular copy at the time. Whenever the Lord directs our path’s we trust Him wherever He will lead us and the Word that goes out is a message of hope, love and trust in what the Lord can do in our hearts. Just as He has done for Malc and me over the years that we have trusted in Him.
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-11)
