Emma had always wanted to be a nurse - ever since she was two years old. On her second or third Christmas her auntie Penny and uncle Andy bought her a nurse's outfit and she was thrilled!

As she grew up, Emma never ever changed her mind about her decision to be a nurse and she entered her nursing training as soon as she possibly could at the age of seventeen and a half. She was still only 17 years old when she was assigned to work on an adult cancer ward whilst during her training including periods when due to staff shortages she would be the 'senior' nurse on duty leading a team of bank nurses. This was quite a responsibility.

Emma had accepted Jesus into her life when she was about 12 years old and when she was about 17, and before she started her nursing training, she had the opportunity to go on a holiday with a Christian Coaching Holiday company called Oak Hall, with a friend from church. She enjoyed it so much and made friends that she decided to go with them again the following year as these holidays presented a great opportunity for Christian Youth to meet with others from different parts of the UK.

As the coach was getting ready and Emma noticed that the coach driver was rather 'dashing', she turned to her friend and said, "I don't know when, but I'm going to marry him!" This proved to be more than just a whim and more of a prophecy, and sure enough, in 2004 Emma married Pete, the coach driver. Happily married now all these years, Emma and Pete have two lovely children and live in Wales. Emma is still a nurse and now in a hospital not too far from home.

The Lord brought them together and He keeps families together. He also meets all of our needs and all of our dreams, and we praise the Lord.
