We had been going to church for some time and made lots of lovely Christian friends we were invited over to one couple's house for Sunday Lunch. Our friends' children played with Emma and Darryl and also read Darryl a Christian story. Afterward, they asked him if he wanted to invite Jesus into his heart and life and Darryl told them that he would do it when he got home.

When we arrive home later that afternoon, Malc was just putting the key in the front door, when Darryl said, "Dad, I want to invite Jesus into my heart and life." So Malc took Darryl into his study and Darryl prayed, repented of his sin, and asked Jesus to come into his heart and his life.

The next day when I was taking the children to school, and we passed by a lamppost, Darryl said, "Jesus loves me." I confirmed that He certainly did but Darryl went on to say "No, I just read it on the lamp post."
Well, I went back to look but there was nothing there that he could have read it from. I believe the Lord just gave Darryl that word and he saw it with his heart rather than his eyes.

From that day on and after what had happened the night before when he was now born again, and as he now belonged in the Lord's family Darryl became a bit of an evangelist at school and lead two of his friends to Jesus in the playground. One of those two boys we later discovered was a second cousin to a famous songwriter and singer who wrote the hit Christmas song "Saviour's Day" for Cliff Richard.

Darryl, shortly afterward went through the waters of baptism at our church and shared his testimony of salvation with those present. Just like his sister before him, Darryl was baptized by his dad. Malc always said what a privilege it had been to be able to baptize both of them

God is good, He loves families very much and He is not willing that anyone should perish but have everlasting life. And He is so faithful in these things.
