• Josiah King of Israel, began his sweeping reforms, in the second book of the kings, in chaper 23.
• The prophet Jeremiah, spoke against the so called ‘shepherds of Israel’ (the religious leaders of the day) in Jeremiah chapter 23.
• In Ezekiel 23 we find the prophet’s declarations against Israel and Judah (named as Oholah and Oholiba.)
• Jesus Himself, denounced the religious leaders of His day in Matthew’s gospel, chapter 23.

What the Bible records in the above 23rd chapters are perhaps, a prophetic pattern for what God wants done in 2023 – reformation and action towards change.

Perhaps it’s the time for the pulling down of strongholds in our lives and to allow God to take hold of our lives and for us to allow Him to do His will.

Isaiah was a prophet of reformation. The 23rd  book of the Bible gives us a picture of what is involved in reformation. The first part is pulling down the wrong thing (Isaiah 1-39) The second part is restoring and establishing the right thing. Reformation is about pulling down evil and establishing the good. It is about confrontation on one hand and restoration on the other hand.

We cannot afford to have one without the other. Casting out without restoring what should be, is a waste of time. Restoring what should be but without pulling down first, just won’t work.

The most significant event this year could be the coming in the air, of the Lord Jesus, to call out His church from this world.

Referred to in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 the rapture of the church is in the forefront of the heart of Christians who long for His return and they are encouraged by the signs of the times, as consistently seen in these days, and declared in the gospel of Luke Chapter 21:7-28.

And in particularly in verse 28:

“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

Christians will hear clearly, the Trumpet of God which will sound (v.16) when the Rapture happens and that day is nearing.  If you know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour you have God’s assurance of your part in that amazing event – caught up to meet the Lord in the air. But those not trusting Jesus will be left behind

This year could be your year to repent of your sin and invite Jesus to take control of your life and receive Him as your Lord and Saviour.

Time is running out - do not be left behind but be saved today.
