You may have heard a familiar story like this before. Son complains to dad of things that are old-fashioned – dad tells son: ”If you can do better then go ahead…..”

Back in 1690 exactly that happened. A young man complained to his father that most of the hymns sung in his church were old–fashioned. So his Father challenged him:  “If you think you can write better hymns, why don’t you?” The son accepted the challenge.

That young man was a certain Isaac Watts who went on to write such wonderful compositions as “Joy to the World” and “When I Survey The Wondrous Cross.”

A Story which proves the old adage - ‘Actions Speak Louder Than Words.’
