God knows Everything
God knows everything about us, even our deepest thoughts and motives.
We try hard to hide them from others - we may even hide them from ourselves. But we can hide nothing from God.
This shouldn’t surprise us, after all, God knows everything.
The Bible says,
“And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13)
That is eye-opening, but it needn’t be scary, or threatening, or difficult to accept and live with. Why? Because God does not look down on us as some kind of task-master always seeking ways to punish us if we step out of line. No! When He witnesses our mistakes – it disappoints Him, but His great love for us hopes that as we live our lives, we will learn more and more how much He delights to see us blessed and being a blessing to others. He will always lead us into better – if we let him.
The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; (Psalm 37:23)
The challenge is to think back over in the Last twenty-four hours. All the thoughts, words, deeds – that you didn’t want anyone to know about. God knows them all - every one of them. And He still loves you just as much. But His desire is to see your heart beat in time with His heart of love. He longs for you, to be a delight to His own heart.
Blessed are the people to whom such blessings fall! Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord! (Psalm 144:15)
