Honey from the Rock
When the Bible, God’s word, speaks of things that will take place in the future, it is called prophecy. Every single prophecy given in the Bible has come to pass - without exception.
Here is just one example of how prophecy concerning God’s provision for His people Israel was fulfilled just as the Bible said that it would be.
In Israel, a dry land offering little natural support for the growth of crops, God provided for this and showed how in His word - right back in the old testament.
In Deuteronomy 32:13 it says of Jacob (Israel):
“He made him ride in the heights of the earth, that he might eat the produce of the fields; He made him draw honey from the rock, and oil from the flinty rock”
In an area of very little water (the Negev desert) thousands of circular stone walls have been found and there, Archaeologists discovered the ancient remains of olive and vine roots. The loosely stacked stone walls collected moisture from the wind and the moisture deposited inside was enough to feed an olive tree or a vine. Grape Juice in ancient times was often called honey and of course, olives produce oil. Present-day Israelites set great store by these serviceable little dew collections in the redevelopment of their agriculture.
We can set great store by God's Word - which never changes and is always true!
