Do you know your purpose in life? You can!
Praised by some, heavily derided by others – Jesus Christ undeniably changed the course of History because He is who He said He was.
Jesus did not claim to be just a ‘good man.’ Plenty of ‘good’ men have lived in the world. But none could forgive sin, none could save us and all of our hopes in mere man always fail.
But Jesus said that He existed from the beginning and that He was the Christ, the Son of God. He claimed that He had the power to forgive sins, and that He would give eternal life to those who believed in Him. And He claimed equality with God Himself.
Those who walked with Him told of the miracles He performed, the healing of the sick, causing the blind to see, turning water into wine, foretelling the future, revealing the past. He calmed storms, walked on water, fed thousands when food was scarce, cast out demons, raised the dead and then after He was tortured and crucified, rose from the dead Himself.
He (Jesus) said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
(Matthew 16:15-17)
Most have at least heard about Jesus Christ. You have just heard some of His claims and you are now faced with a choice – we all are!
If you haven’t already made that choice - you can choose to believe Him - or you can choose to deny Him. Jesus Christ was not just a good man. He was and is the Son of God – the Messiah – the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Think carefully on your choice – it really is a matter of life or death.
Jesus said:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”
(John 5:24)
